Event To Rejuvenate Living Green Efforts

September 14, 2012, 5:37 AM by Kellee Azar

Event To Rejuvenate Living Green Efforts
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

Phillips Avenue will be closed Friday between 6th and 8th Streets. But, it's not for more construction; it's about going green.

The goal of the Plain Green Conference is to rejuvenate the plain green living idea that came about a few years ago. The daylong event at the Orpheum Theater is open to the public. To take part, registration costs $130 or teachers and students can get a reduced rate of $40.

"That includes all the speakers, the marketplace, food for the day, lots of other, like I said there are so many just little small things," Plain Green Committee Member Brooke Orcutt said.

The event will also include a farmer's market and goody bags on helping participants live green.
