The warm weather brought a lot of people outside Wednesday.
We caught up with a few people taking advantage of the nice day, before the snow and cold make a comeback.
It wasn't quite swimming weather today, but with temps around 50-degrees, people all over Sioux Falls were stretching their legs and enjoying some time in the sun.
"It's beautiful. It feels like a heat-wave," Erin Weyers said, shoveling her driveway.
"Just taking advantage of this opportunity to enjoy the warm weather. It's been so nice the last couple of days with everything melting. You know, anything above freezing feels like paradise these days," Cody Smith said, walking his dog.
Cody Smith and his dog Mischa took a stroll in McKennan Park today.
He says with an active pup like her, it's crucial they get out of the house as much as possible. Even with some slush on the ground.
"Her undercarriage gets pretty rocked. You can see all under here, she needs a good towel down and a bath most days when we get out," Smith said.
While people like Smith took a more leisurely approach to the day, others got to work.
"Trying to get all of the ice out of our driveway because it faces the north and we don't get a lot of sun. So trying to get it out of the way," Erin Weyers said.
Erin Weyers moved up here from Nashville about 2 years ago. Today she decided to join her husband and try her hand at shoveling… for the first time in her life.
"It's going pretty good. The ice isn't quite as bad as it was, but it's warming up. So it's alright," Weyers said.
She says once their one-year-old wakes up, he'll be heading outdoors too.
"He needs some exercise too. Yep. And some fresh air. So nice day for that," Weyers said.
Even with more snow coming, Smith isn't scared.
"As long as we don't get another April ice-pocolypse, like last year, I'm good. I figure it won't be that bad again," Smith said.
Weyers say she'll be heading back to Nashville for a visit very soon, to get out of the cold for a while.
