On this day 11 years ago, KELOLAND was in the midst of a historic weather day.
On June 24, 2003, 67 tornados touched down across KELOLAND during what has been dubbed Tornado Tuesday.
From Vermillion to Viborg and beyond, dozens of tornados touched down and caused damage. However, the most destructive tornado that day was rated an EF-4. It leveled the town of Manchester, it was only a town of six, but after the tornado passed there was nothing left.
One of the most remarkable things is that no one lost their life from a tornado that day.
