Yard cleanup awaits some Sioux Falls homeowners who are waking up to find downed branches and even fallen trees in their neighborhoods following a severe storm that swept through the city early Sunday
Strong winds that accompanied the thunderstorm caused scattered power outages throughout Sioux Falls and Harrisburg. According to Xcel Engery's Jim Wilcox 5,200 customers were without electricity. As of 11:00 a.m. there are still over 2,000 customers without power. According to Xcel's website, there is an estimated restoration time of no later than 12:15 p.m.
Heavy rain was falling in downtown Sioux Falls at 3 a.m. filling streets with water.
Falling branches damaged some vehicles parked in the 26th & Phillips neighborhood.
