SIOUX FALLS, SD -
Drivers on the east side of Sioux Falls may want to consider taking a different route to work as construction crews work to resurface 10th Street from Cleveland Avenue to Sycamore Avenue.
The project kicked off one week ago and is expected to last a few more weeks. While construction is not a new sight for drivers on 10th Street, the amount of back up this project is causing is still frustrating for many.
Drivers headed west will exit the construction at Cleveland Avenue. But the line of traffic that backs up to that point gets long in the mornings.
The city says since it's a stretch of road that carries thousands of drivers every day, they're trying to alleviate traffic congestion by only working on one lane in each direction.
Construction crews are expected to finish up in the next three weeks. For more information on this project and other city projects head to the Sioux Falls website.
