A Sanford helicopter is damaged after a duck hit it while it was flying a patient to the Sioux Falls hospital from Mitchell.
Mike Christianson, the executive director of Air Transport at Sanford, says the incident happened Thursday night around six just south of Humboldt.
The pilot, a flight nurse, a flight medic, a respiratory therapist and a patient were all on board.
No one was hurt.
The Humboldt ground ambulance was dispatched and picked up the flight team and patient.
