New court papers say the driver who crashed head-on into the car carrying Southwest Minnesota State basketball coach Brad Bigler, killing his infant son, had a blood-alcohol level more than four times the legal limit.
According to a criminal complaint, 38-year-old Dana Schoen of Starbuck, Minnesota, registered a .351 BAC when police arrived on the scene of the crash Saturday night.
Police also discovered opened and unopened beer cans in his truck.
Schoen is charged with three counts of vehicular homicide and one count of DWI.
He has two previous DWI's on his record, and in both instances, his blood-alcohol level was above .20
