Driver Named In Sunday Night Crash
Tyler Ewin Easley

A Sioux Falls man faces charges following a crash involving three vehicles Sunday evening.

Police say a GMC Sierra that was traveling east on the wrong side of 12th Street hit a Nissan sedan and a Ford van as both vehicles were waiting to make a left turn onto Marion Road. Police say Tyler Ewin Easley, 20, was driving the Sierra. He told police the last thing he remembers is going north on Marion Road.

Witnesses told police the truck was going between 45 and 60 miles per hour when it hit the stopped vehicles.

Ashley Farrar, of Berryville, AR, was a passenger in the van. She said the driver of the van hurt his back and the front passenger got his leg pinned in the door by the force of the impact. Both were taken to the emergency room. The passengers in the van were members of a Baptist church from Missouri on a mission trip in Sioux Falls.

Easley was arrested for DWI and driving without a license. Occupants of the car and van reported minor injuries, but opted to receive treatment on their own.
