MITCHELL, SD -
There are more details emerging about the deadly pursuit and crash that happened at a Mitchell intersection over the weekend.
Court documents say 46-year-old Michael Sedlmeier had a 0.206 blood alcohol level at the time of the crash, which is more than double the legal limit.
Sedlmeier led police on a chase after they clocked him speeding at 47 miles per hour through town. Sedlmeier ran a stop sign and hit an SUV carrying several children, including nine-year-old Iszabella Morgan, who was ejected from the vehicle and killed in the crash.
According to documents, Sedlmeier admitted at the scene that he had been drinking on the golf course earlier in the day and had 'drank quite a bit' the night before.
Sedlmeier is being held on a $250,000 bond and faces charges of vehicular homicide, eluding police and his third DUI.
