Lloyd Companies is planning a major overhaul of another downtown building. Lloyd companies is under contract to redevelop the former DM&E Building at 8th Street and Phillips Avenue.
Raquel Blount of Lloyd Companies tells KELOLAND News it will be much like the complete remodel of the old Western Surety building across the street. Lloyd spent $4 million dollars on that renovation.
The DM&E Building will have space on the first floor for a restaurant and the remaining floors will be office space. The remodel of the 50,000 square foot building will begin late this fall. Blount said that Lloyd is actively working with businesses interested in becoming tenants, but none have signed leases yet.
