The hustle and bustle of the holiday season is almost here. Thanksgiving is just two days away.
With the shopping madness of Black Friday beginning earlier every year, is this starting to take away from Thanksgiving Day? We spoke with kids and a few adults about how they view the holiday.
Thanksgiving is traditionally a day spent with family and friends enjoying good food and being thankful. But as stores continue to offer Black Friday deals earlier every year, the spirit of Thanksgiving could be shifting.
"Now that stores are open Thanksgiving day, we can't take one day to spend with our families? I'm a little disappointed," Denny MacRunnels said.
Not all people think the early shopping deals are a bad thing. Some say it's all a matter of choices.
"I would say, 'You don't have to go shopping then. You can go earlier,'" Megan Carreno said.
The kids at Longfellow Elementary School have their own ideas of what this day of thanks is all about.
"I think it's coming all together with your family and being thankful for what you have," 5th grader Eva said.
"I think it's just a time to have fun with your friends, family. Give thanks for everything that you have. And just a fun time being with family," 5th grader Caitlin said.
While many say it's a time to enjoy family, there is another part big of the day that is not quickly forgotten.
"Eating," 3rd grader Stevan said.
"When we have this big family dinner and eat all this turkey and stuffing," Caitlin said.
"Going to eat turkey," kindergarten student Darion said.

Kevin: Eating fruit pies.
No matter how you choose to celebrate the holidays, what really matters is who you choose to spend them with.
"I just love it because I get to be with my family and it's nice to be with them," Eva said.
