The snow couldn't move soon enough for a lot of drivers. Sioux Falls police responded to more than two dozen crashes during the Friday morning commute.
And even with the slow-moving traffic, students had to be up early and ready to hit the books. Sioux Falls schools started on time on Friday.
Students never mind having a day off or a late start, but sometimes holds true for parents. A lot of them were frustrated because they had to take their kids to school Friday morning with all this snow on the road.
On Friday morning we saw several people sounding off on Twitter who had a hard time driving on the snowy roads. Not only was it a tough drive for moms and dads, but for the first time in a long time kids knew what it felt like walking through some high snow.
There were some rural school districts in KELOLAND that had late starts Friday morning. The overnight snowfall left many rural roads covered in up to eight inches of snow in the southern parts of the state.
