Deadly Plane Crash At Sturgis Airport

STURGIS, SD -
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating a deadly plane crash at the Sturgis Airport.
The small aircraft went down around 9 a.m. Friday morning on Airport property.
Investigators say the pilot was with the Bear Butte Flying Club and was practicing touch and go landings when the single engine plane crashed.

Hand County authorities say the 81-year-old Pierre man who had been missing since Sunday morning was found dead.

The Hand County Sheriff’s Office is searching for Leroy Nye, who was last seen at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 18.
