South Dakota's Secretary of State is reminding political candidates and committees that the deadline for filing campaign finance reports is February 1.
This includes candidates, political parties, political action committees and ballot question committees.
Jason Gant says filing these reports is an important part of disclosure and accountability to state voters. Those who don't meet the deadline could face a penalty.
