PIERRE, SD -
While the Associated Press has declared him the victor in Tuesday's GOP gubernatorial race, Lt. Governor Dennis Daugaard is wary of celebrating too early. Yet he is pleased with the results that have come in at this point.
With nearly 70 percent of precincts reporting, Daugaard holds a lead of more than 20,000 votes over former Brookings mayor Scott Munsterman.
Daugaard says his number one priority in the campaign will be job creation as he faces Democrat Scott Heidepriem in November.
