Governor Dennis Daugaard has asked that all flags be flown half-staff on Wednesday out of respect for the victims of the mass shooting in Aurora, Colorado.
Flags are to be flown half-staff from 8 a.m. until sunset.
President Obama has also ordered flags to be lowered to half-staff on Wednesday at all public buildings, public grounds and military facilities.
