The holiday shopping season kicked off with Black Friday, but the shopping isn't done yet. On Monday, many people will continue buying their holiday items throughout the day, this time in the comfort of their own home.
It’s Cyber Monday, which is usually the busiest shopping day of the year for online retailers.
Last year, sales hit nearly $1.5 billion, making it the biggest online shopping day ever.
Just like Black Friday, electronics like TVs and iPads are the hot items.
Some shoppers prefer online shopping because they are able to shop from the comfort of their homes.
“We like to shop online just so that we don’t have to deal with the hustle and bustle of the shopping indoors on Black Friday or over the holidays on Thanksgiving,” online shopper Theresa Adel said.
According to National Retail Federation, sales are projected to increase by four percent this holiday season compared to a 3.5 percent increase in 2012.
