CTF: USD Sweeps Track Awards
VERMILLION, SD -

South Dakota swept the Summit League’s weekly Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week awards with senior Megan Glisar earning the women’s honor and Mubarik Musa winning the men’s honor.  The awards were announced by league release on Tuesday.

Glisar, a senior from Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, cleared 5 feet, 10½ inches to win the high jump at the Holiday Inn Invitational in Lincoln, Neb., this past weekend.  Her mark is tied for eighth-best in the nation and is 4½ inches better than the next best mark in the league.

Musa, a redshirt freshman distance runner from Worthington, Minn., recorded a NCAA top-40 time in the 5,000-meters at the Holiday Inn Invitational, finishing second in 14:57.55.  His time is the best in the league and ranks 37th in the nation.

USD will compete at the Jack Johnson Invitational in Minneapolis on Friday and Saturday and at the Wildcat Open in Wayne, Neb., on Saturday.
