The snow emergency is still in effect in the City of Spearfish and some travel restrictions remain. Restrictions have been upgraded from no travel allowed to travel not recommended. Authorities are asking that you only travel for essential needs. Stay on plowed roads only. Do not park your vehicle blocking any roadway. It is asked that you give priority access to snow removal operators and emergency vehicles.
Crews have made significant progress in plowing primary and secondary route and have moved into neighborhood areas. However, smaller side streets may not get addressed until later, but crews will continue until the task is completed.
Driveway windrows will not be addressed at this time because of emergency status.
The Spearfish Recreation and Aquatics Center remains open as an emergency shelter. If assistance in getting to the center is needed, call 605-642-1300.
