Canadian Pacific Railway Ltd. says a rail line west of Rapid City should be repaired and reopened sometime Friday night.
One of its trains derailed Thursday near Black Hawk.
The railroad says Peaceful Pines Road reopened late Thursday evening.
CP says there's no indication that a bridge failure was to blame. Thirteen or 14 cars jumped the track, and local law enforcement officials say a bridge collapsed.
Company officials say they're continuing to investigate the cause of the wreck, but a preliminary review shows the integrity of the bridge is unrelated to the cause.
No one was hurt in the mishap.
