The University of South Dakota opens its 2012 season Saturday afternoon against 10th-ranked Montana.
The unranked Coyotes take on the Grizzlies at 1:30 p.m. MDT at Washington-Grizzly Stadium. South Dakota is embarking on its first season as a member of the Missouri Valley Football Conference.
Montana leads the series 9-6. The teams last met in 1999, with Montana topping South Dakota 45-13 in Mizzoula.
The game will be televised in-state on KDLT and KOTA's MeTV.
