A judge has sentenced 21-year-old Taylor Cournoyer to 13 years in prison on drug charges.
Cournoyer was charged with possession of a controlled substance and keeping a place where controlled substances are used after the body of two-year-old RieLee Lovell was found in a closet at his Wagner home on July 4, 2012. He is also a habitual offender, which elevated his possible sentence. He pleaded guilty to the charges.
Authorities believe Lovell's body was in the closet for nearly 24 hours before it was discovered.
Cournoyer's wife, Laurie Cournoyer is charged with abuse or cruelty to a minor and failure to notify law enforcement of the death of a child.
