OMAHA, NE -
The US Army Corps of Engineers is still working to release massive amounts of water from the spring runoff along the Missouri River to prepare for next year's melt.
That's why people and businesses along the Missouri River are encouraged to attend one of the upcoming public meetings put on by Corps as they share how they plan to do that.
The Annual Operating Plan lays out how they hope to have the excess water passed through the system by February 2012. It is now available at the Water Management Division's website
The eight meetings being held begin October 24 and people with questions and viewpoints to speak with Corps officials one-on-one. Two are being held in areas of KELOLAND:
