The sun wasn't the only thing sizzling on Sunday in Sioux Falls.
Seven chefs competed in "Cooking for a Cure" at the Sam's Club on Louise Avenue.
The event raised money for the Children's Miracle Network. The chef's competed for the most votes based on the quality of their food, but the biggest prize went somewhere else.
"It's to help the children that are in the hospitals and also the families that have to go throught it for their kids," Sam's Club Marketing Coordinator Anne Palmer said.
The event saw a 65 percent increase compared to last year, and raised $1,500 for Children's Miracle Network.
