Construction Underway on Downtown TownhomeO

June 5, 2014, 12:15 PM by Angela Kennecke

Construction Underway on Downtown TownhomeO
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

All six old homes are now gone on Second Avenue between 13th and 14th Streets and construction of townhomes called The Residence is underway.

Signature Companies has started building the first phase of the project.  It's putting up seven of 28 units this summer.  The two-to-three bedroom townhomes with rooftop patios, will start in the mid-$200,000 price range and run up to $500,000 or more.

Developer Clint Ackerman says one of the townhomes now going up is sold and another sale is pending.  Ackerman is waiting to see the market demand before starting phase two of the project.  The first seven townhomes will be complete by the end of this summer.
