A nine mile construction project on Interstate 90 east of Wall to near Cactus Flats will begin on Monday.
The work involves grading, removing and replacing concrete pavement, installing edge drains and paving new asphalt shoulders on the eastbound lanes.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction and two way traffic maintained in the westbound lane with a 16 foot width restriction.
Drivers are asked to watch for slowing traffic, merging lanes, construction workers and equipment. The speed limit will be reduced to 65 mph for the westbound lanes.
Before moving to the westbound lanes, work will be done at the bridge ends. Single lane closures will be required with a speed limit of 45 mph when workers are present.
Eastbound Exit 127 will be closed for both on and off ramps. Off ramp traffic will be detoured to Exit 131 with on ramp traffic diverted to Exit 121.
Work is scheduled to be finished by October 24.
