A Colorado man accused of starting fires that burned two cars and a garage in Rapid City has been sentenced to 51 years in prison.
A jury had earlier convicted 38-year-old Juan Rosales, of Denver, of reckless burning, intentional damage to private property, possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
Authorities say Rosales poured gasoline on three cars, but one did not burn. The fire spread to a nearby garage.
Rosales was previously convicted of attempted murder in Colorado in the early 1990s. He was released from prison in 2002.
