Classmate Talks About Pam Jackson And Sherri Miller's Disappearances

May 29th, 1971 is the last day anyone ever saw or heard from Pam Jackson and Sherri Miller. So, imagine being the last person to talk to the girls before they disappeared. One Vermillion man and his friends were, they were leading the two girls to a end of the school party.
In 33 years, you can pack a lot of good and bad memories into life. You can also forget. One night that's a bit sketchy, but still sticks out for Steve Glass is the night he led two of his classmates to a gravel pit party.
Glass says, "We were sitting at the church, we were going to have a party out at one of these gravel pits and kind of waiting around to show people who didn't know how to get there where it was."
Glass remembers Miller and Jackson needing directions. He says, "They wanted to know where it was so we said we're going to head up there right now ourselves why don't you just follow us."
Glass says the two girls followed. "It was kind of hilly there and we missed our turn to go to it so we went about another 200 yards and turned around and went to the party and forgot they were even behind us."
That's the last time he saw Miller and Jackson. The girls never made it to the party. And Glass knows he and his friends were probably the last people to see the girls. He says, "I think about that once in awhile."
Glass says a couple days after Miller and Jackson's disappearances, the Clay County Sheriff, at the time, came and questioned him, to ask him about the party and if he saw the girls. That's the first time Glass was told the girls were missing.
Glass says some people thought the girls may have run away, others thought something bad happened to them. He says the girls were quiet and shy and he was surprised they were going to the party that night in the first place. As for the new investigation, Glass hopes authorities find answers to give everyone closure.
