City To Consider Alcohol Ban In Two Parks

City To Consider Alcohol Ban In Two Parks
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

A couple of city parks have turned into trouble zones.

From fights to sex offenses to even a stabbing, the number of problems at two downtown parks in Sioux Falls has skyrocketed.  Police have been to Van Eps Park for problems nearly every single day in June and July.

Now the city wants to look at banning alcohol in Van Eps and Tower Parks.  Director of Parks and Recreation Don Kearney says the Parks and Recreation Board will consider that change at their August 19 board meeting.
