City Seeks Performers For Events Center Open House

July 29, 2014, 5:05 PM by Angela Kennecke

City Seeks Performers For Events Center Open House
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

One of the criticisms surrounding Sioux Falls’ new events center is that it's only for people who can afford tickets to expensive performances.  But the soft opening of the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center will be free and open to the public.

The city is taking applications for performers to entertain people during open houses in September.

"To give the community a chance to see the facility first hand and let the venue operators have a chance to use the facility and work out the systems to provide the best guest experiences possible when we open the doors on October 3rd," Assistant Manager Chris Semrau said.

The open houses will be held September 19 and 20.  The city is hoping performers will volunteer their time, but is open to paying them as well.

Performers can apply online by Friday, August 15.
