With grand opening events planned inside the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center, the City will give an update on the warped metal panels on the outside of the building on Thursday.
The siding first got attention in May, when Sioux Falls residents mentioned to a city council member that it wasn't lying flat. The City has said it is a cosmetic issue and officials have addressed concerns to the construction company.
When asked about it on Tuesday by KELOLAND News, Public Works Director Mark Cotter said the City is looking at two possible solutions including testing new siding materials. He added the City will share mock-ups of what this could look like in the coming weeks.
City leaders have previously said issues with the exterior will not affect their grand plans for the inside.
