With a couple inches of snow on the ground, city officials have issued a snow alert in Sioux Falls.
Plowing on Emergency Snow Routes began earlier Friday morning and will continue until all routes are clear.
Plowing in Zone 3 will begin once the Emergency Routes are clear. City officials expect to start plowing that zone sometime Friday morning.
Crews will plow east/west streets in Zone 2 starting at 8 p.m. Friday and plow north/south streets beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday.
Officials warn, all vehicles parked on routes when crews are plowing could be ticketed and towed.
