The Rescue Church is branching out with internet broadcasts to campuses miles away from its location in Flandreau.
The church currently has a second location in Colman, and working on a campus in Garretson that will open in the summer. It also have a new location in Deeside, Jamaica. Each campus does its own music and announcements, but when Jon Sanders does his sermon in Flandreau, it's broadcasted to the different locations.
“Through this process we can reach more communities faster than if we were to send a guy in person around to all these locations. I really believe if Jesus and the Apostle Paul were able to use technology in their day I believe they would have. It's here, it's available to us as a tool and so we've just embraced it,” Pastor Joe Sanders said.
To do this broadcast every Sunday, Sanders says it takes a group effort, and he is grateful for the team he has.
“I'm just proud to see our church growing. We would not be where we're at if not for the volunteers that make this happy, we have awesome volunteers that step up every weekend and all throughout the week to serve and to make this possible,” Sanders said.
