Christmas Tree Sales Up So Far This Year

December 2, 2012, 5:00 PM by Jenna Petrak

Christmas Tree Sales Up So Far This Year
SIOUX FALLS, SD -

While it may not seem like Christmas outside, that isn't stopping people from using the warm December weather to get into the holiday spirit.

The rising temperatures this weekend has had a positive effect on real Christmas tree sales in KELOLAND.

There were plenty of people at Baumgartner's Tree and Landscaping on Sunday that were gearing-up for the holiday season by picking out their perfect Christmas tree.

Owner Jerry Baumgartner says the nice weather has helped him sell more trees this year, compared to previous years.

"I think everybody’s coming out when it’s nice like this. The trees fall out so easily to be looked at. Where in the cold weather, they stay stiff until where you get it in where its warm," Baumgartner said.

Baumgartner says the warm weather is good for his customers because it lets them see exactly what kind of trees they are going to get.
