RAPID CITY, SD -
Prosecutors have reduced the charges filed against a Rapid City man accused in last week's shooting death in a motel parking lot.
Officials in Rapid City arrested 30-year-old Charles Birdshead Monday night and originally charged him with a string of crimes including second degree murder.
Tuesday morning, prosecutors reduced the charges to first degree manslaughter and commission of a crime with a firearm.
The body of 33-year-old Eustacio Marrufo was found with a gunshot wound in the chest on January 7.
