Charges Filed In Mr. Bendo Crash

SIOUX FALLS, SD -
There is an update on the Sioux Falls crash involving one of the city's best-known statues.
A Sioux Falls man is facing drunk driving charges for allegedly crashing into the Mr. Bendo statue located at Buck's Muffler on Cliff Avenue Wednesday night.
Police say the driver, 27-year-old Alexander Charles Palmer, had rear-ended a vehicle at 10th Street and Cliff Avenue before hitting Mr. Bendo. Palmer is also charged with hit-and-run and no proof of insurance.
Nobody was hurt, but Mr. Bendo's leg is in the shop for repairs.

The Hand County Sheriff’s Office is searching for Leroy Nye, who was last seen at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 18.
