SIOUX FALLS, SD - There is an update on the Sioux Falls crash involving one of the city's best-known statues.

A Sioux Falls man is facing drunk driving charges for allegedly crashing into the Mr. Bendo statue located at Buck's Muffler on Cliff Avenue Wednesday night.

Police say the driver, 27-year-old Alexander Charles Palmer, had rear-ended a vehicle at 10th Street and Cliff Avenue before hitting Mr. Bendo. Palmer is also charged with hit-and-run and no proof of insurance.

Nobody was hurt, but Mr. Bendo's leg is in the shop for repairs.
