Change In The Weather Pattern

April 27, 2014, 10:00 PM by Scot Mundt

Change In The Weather Pattern

KELOLAND had plenty of sunshine and warm temps on Friday, but things will change for the second half of the weekend.  By the looks of things, this change will carry us through April.

Here's the setup.  Low pressure in the higher layers of the atmosphere will move through the central plains on Sunday. This low pressure will be cut-off from the main steering currents of the jet stream and will be allowed to stay essentially in one place and spin for days.

This will result in good chances for rain and much cooler temperatures.  There are even hints that snow will be possible around midweek.  The Hills can expect snow sooner, probably by Sunday night and Monday.
