CFB: Presentation Notches 1st Win
NEW ULM, MN - The Presentation football team added another chapter to the history books this afternoon when the team earned its first win in school history when they defeated Martin Luther 28-6 in Upper Midwest Athletic Conference action in New Ulm, Minn.

Presentation improves to 1-3 on the season and 1-2 in UMAC play; Martin Luther moves to 1-4 overall and 1-3 in the UMAC.

The Saints capitalized on early turnovers, scoring the first touchdown on a Mike Smith interception at the Martin Luther 16-yard line. The Saints used six plays in just under three minutes to get a score around the ten minute mark.

Five minutes later, Rasheed Woolfolk forced a fumble at midfield; Derek Buthe recovered the ball for the Saints at the PC 49-yard line. Cullen O'Brien completed a 25-yard pass to Matt James for the second score of the game.

PC scored its third touchdown of the afternoon on the opening drive of the second quarter on the Saints' longest offensive run of the game going 78 yards over 11 plays. O'Brien rushed for 34 yards on the drive before completing a 28-yard pass to Eric Schueth for the score.

The Saints final score of the game came with less than a minute to play in the first half. O'Brien connected with James for the second time on an eight-yard pass in the end zone.

O'Brien had a combined 300-plus yards of production on the day, rushing for 197 yards, and passing for 123. Will Vealy rushed for 104 yards on the day, while Jalanni James rushed for 43 yards and had 36 receiving yards. Eric Schueth finished with 34 receiving yards, and Matt James added 28 yards on two receptions.

The Saints defense also proved to be dominating in the afternoon's contest, holding MLC scoreless until the final minute of the game. Wade Brandner led the Saints with nine tackles, while Woolfolk added eight and a forced fumble. Mike Smith notched the only interception on the day, while the entire defensive squad held MLC to just 437 yards of offense of the day (PC finished with 883 yards of offense).
