Northern State head football coach Tom Dosch has released the 2013 football schedule. The 11-game slate features six home games, as the Wolves will both open and close the season on their home turf. All 11 games will be Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference contests.
Highlights for the schedule include playing under the lights in the season and home-opener on Saturday, Sept. 7. NSU will kick off against Wayne State at 6 p.m.
NSU's annual Gypsy Day game is set for Saturday, Oct. 5 with a 2:30 p.m. kick. NSU will host MSU Moorhead in that contest and will host Bemidji State on Oct. 19. That game will also kick off at 2:30 p.m.
Other home games include a Sept. 21 contest against Upper Iowa and a pair of home contests in the month of November against U-Mary (Nov. 2) and Minnesota-Duluth (Nov. 16) in the season finale. All three of those games are set for 1 p.m. starts.
NSU will face Sioux Falls, Minnesota State, Minot State, St. Cloud State and Minnesota, Crookston on the road this season.
