Casino Thief Grabs Cash From Register Before Taking Off

A Sioux Falls casino thief will face some serious charges once he's caught.

Police say he took more than $1,000 from the Lucky Strike Casino on North Minnesota Avenue Friday night.  The man was playing the machines around 6:30 p.m. When he went to the counter for a drink.  When the clerk turned around to get it, the man reached into the till and took off.

"The clerk turned the back for a minute to fill the cup up and this guy took the opportunity and grabbed the money and was out the door," Sioux Falls Police public information officer Sam Clemens said.
The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s, 5'8" tall, weighing between 145 to 160 pounds.
