Two people were seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident early Saturday morning.
Just after midnight, at the intersection of 26th and Grange, a motorcycle heading west slowed down for a traffic signal. That's when a Jeep, traveling behind them, hit the motorcycle, dragging it down the street for about a block and dislodging the two passengers on the bike.
The jeep then left the scene, but was later recovered at a nearby residence.
The two motorcycle passengers were taken to a local hospital.
The jeep driver was arrested and charged with DWI, felony hit and run, felony vehicular battery, open container and no insurance.
Names have not been released.
There will be a candlelight vigil for one of the two victims Saturday night at the scene of the crash. The vigil will start at 8:30 p.m.
