SIOUX FALLS, SD -
The man who directed Kristi Noem's successful campaign for Congress, Joshua Shields, has been named her communications director in Washington.
The Rapid City native previously worked on Republican John Thune's U.S. Senate campaigns in 2002 and 2004 and was a press aide for the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions.
Noem, a Republican, defeated Democratic Rep. Stephanie Herseth Sandlin in the November election.
