A broken boiler pipe led to the closure of the Lincoln County Courthouse on Monday.
The broken pipe flooded parts of the basement and caused the temperature inside the courthouse to plummet.
The pipe was fixed by Monday afternoon and all court cases were either moved to Minnehaha County or rescheduled.
Officials say it's unclear if the cold is directly related to the problem, but the boiler was working overtime to heat the building.
The closure effects the Lincoln County Clerk of Courts office and the courtrooms. County offices in the new addition to the courthouse are still open.
