Bridal Shoppe To Relocate

SIOUX FALLS, SD - There's better news for some brides today. It might be a case of "when" they get their wedding gowns from Interlude Bridal Shoppe, where as yesterday it was still a question of "if."

Keloland News first brought you the story of Interlude Bridal Shoppe in Sioux Falls. The store was empty, its doors were locked and phone calls from frantic brides weren't being returned.

There are now signs on the door finally shedding some light on the future of Interlude Bridal Shoppe: it's relocating. And brides can pick up their dresses a few doors down at 'I Do...2'. It's only open today through Saturday and is also closing.

The store manager would only tell KELOLAND News she didn't have a comment when we asked whether brides could still get their dresses past Saturday.

She did reveal more information to groom-to-be Joe Labat who came by the store today to check on his bride's order.

"I gave her my contact information and she said she'll get shipping dates for when the dresses will be here and basically what's happening is their lease was just up,” Labat said.

Despite the invitation to brides to pick up their dresses at I Do...2, some brides we've talked with say their dresses haven't even been delivered to the store yet. So they don't know where they are and still haven't had their calls returned.

"It sounded like the owner was going to be making calls and getting stuff lined up for everyone who needs dresses now and just go down the line as they come in."

Labat was told brides’ shipping dates haven't been changed. They will just need to pick them up at a different location when they find a new home for the store.

Another option for brides looking for information, contact your designer directly. One mother told KELOLAND News, designer, Liz Fields is currently finishing her daughter's dress and has agreed to ship it to her directly since she hasn't been able to get a hold of the store owner either.

Liz Fields has several other orders that came through Interlude Bridal, but no way to get contacting the brides themselves.
