Gov. Terry Branstad is saying he would consider making Iowa's anti-bullying law stronger in light of recommendations made during a state conference last week.
At a Monday morning press conference, Branstad says there are things that -- quote -- "can be done to strengthen and improve our law."
Iowa has launched Your Life Iowa, a program aimed at helping parents, school workers and others to prevent bullying and youth suicide. Branstad announced the program at the summit held in Des Moines last week.
Branstad says he is in the process of planning his budget and legislative agenda for 2013, which he plans to present to the Legislature in January.
Branstad is -- quote -- "hopeful that we'll have some specific suggestions."
