Voters in the Brandon Valley School District will go to the polls on Tuesday to decide on a $5.95 million bond issue.
The school district is asking for the bond, saying that the middle school is nearly full. The current Brandon Valley Middle School building is home to the district’s sixth, seventh and eighth grade students.
The plan would build a new intermediate school for fifth and sixth graders.
The bond would cover just a portion of the $13 million price tag, with the rest of the funding coming from other sources.
If approved, property taxes would increase by $28 per $100,000 of value.
