Both Sides Of EC Issue Happy With Turnout

Both Sides Of EC Issue Happy With Turnout
SIOUX FALLS, SD - Both sides of the events center issue have been working to get voters out to the polls over the past few weeks.

Their efforts may be paying off because officials estimate turnout could be anywhere from 35 to-45 percent, which would be a bigger turnout than any of the last two mayoral elections.

The grassroots group of Sioux Falls citizens against the proposed events center came forward just more than a month ago to oppose the project.

Both sides of this issue have been working to get voters out to the polls over the past few weeks.

Build It Now Tony Reiss, Build It Now Field Office Director, has been seeing voter turnout numbers up. They have been reminding people all day going from precinct to precinct, holding signs up and making sure people vote.

The grassroots group of Sioux Falls Citizens Against the proposed events center came forward just more than a month ago to oppose the project.

Bob Barclay of The Citizens Network Against The Events Center says the fight has been a challenge but they have made good use of their resources, being in the community and being positive.
