Bond Set At $10K For Pierre Kidnapping Suspect
PIERRE, SD -

Bond has been set at $10,000 cash for a Pierre man accused of kidnapping and assaulting his girlfriend and her young daughter.

32-year-old Ervin Addison made his first court appearance Thursday, a day after his arrest. He did not immediately enter a plea. He's due back in court Tuesday, Sept. 9.

Authorities say police were called to a local motel early Wednesday to investigate screaming from a room. Police say Addison had barricaded the door so his 25-year-old girlfriend and 6-year-old daughter could not leave. He's accused of hitting the girl and trying to choke his girlfriend.
