Lawyers for a Pierre, South Dakota, teen accused of killing a classmate are trying to get him out of a juvenile detention center before his trial.
A bond hearing is scheduled on Monday for 17-year-old Braiden McCahren.
Earlier in December, the South Dakota Supreme Court ordered a judge to reconsider whether McCahren should be tried in adult court.
His two-week trial that was supposed to begin January 21 was called off and not rescheduled.
McCahren pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and other charges in the shooting death of 16-year-old Dalton Williams in McCahren's home in December 2012.
McCahren was 16 years old at the time and has been in custody without bond for more than a year.
