Bond Denied For Suspect In Madison Shooting

MADISON, SD -
A judge had denied bond for a 73-year-old Watertown man accused of shooting to death a Madison man.
Carl V. Ericsson has been ordered to remain in custody during a brief hearing Thursday.
Authorities announced Wednesday night that they arrested Ericsson on a first-degree murder charge in the shooting death of retired high school teacher Norman Johnson.
A preliminary hearing in the case has been set for Feb. 16 at 10 a.m.
